Remembrance Butterfly bouquet

I made a butterfly bouquet for my boss whose mum sadly past away last week. He told me everytime he sees a butterfly it will remind him of his mum so that is where the idea came from.

I began by crocheting 3d butterflies in shades of red, pink cream and gold with touches of black. I used cotton and metallic yarns.

Then I tool some floristry wire and bound it with the yarn.

Next I made a tag using felt and hand embroidered text into in using 2ply cotton

Then I glued the crocheted butterflies to the wire stems and arranged them into a bouquet. Here is the finished result.

I think this makes a beautiful keepsake to remember a loved one.
